Elevation
A group project done together with Gerard Lee, Ng Liying and myself.
Elevation is a song by U2 and the brief was to map it out using geometric shapes as info-graphics.
What made my group's interpretation interesting was the creation of a universal grid that allowed not just my group's members to participate, but also our friends or anyone who had the time to listen to the song and jot it down on the grid.
The grid was printed on 60gsm tracing paper, which allowed for layered mapping of the song - e.g. 1 piece for the vocals, 1 piece for the guitars, 1 piece for the percussion. And the 3 layers could then be compiled into a single piece.
The resulting series of posters is a sample of parts from various versions of the grid.
